Depending on the time of year, you may be able to catch a game at Wrigley Field. If it’s Baseball season, head there and catch a Cubs game. If it’s Hockey season, head to the United Center and watch a game featuring the 2013 Stanley Cup Winners, the Chicago Blackhawks!

Cooking Classes

What better way to spend an evening than learning a useful life tool that will benefit you both? A wide variety of cooking classes are available in Chicago. The Chopping Block, for example, has two locations in Chicago, and they offer everything from basic cooking skills to full-day culinary boot camps. They also offer a demonstration meal where the chef will cook in front of you. At $60 a person for four or five courses, it won’t break the bank.

Mini Golf

A classic choice for date night, there are multiple mini golf courses available in Chicago. It’s usually under $10 per person, so it’s a cheap, and very affordable option. Turn it into a friendly competition by keeping score and seeing who wins!

Live Music

Chicago has multiple live music venues dedicated to everything from Blues to Indie music. For Jazz fans, head over to the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge. If you’re more of a fan of Blues music, check out Kingston Mines. Check out the House of Blues and see who’s playing this weekend. If you’re more of a musician and want to show off for your date, head over to The Old Town School of Folk Music, which has an open mic on the first Friday of the month.

At some point, you’re going to have to eat! Head over to Giordano’s and get some authentic deep-dish pizza. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, head to Quartino Ristorante and Wine Bar for some amazing Italian food, or just go with some sandwiches at the Bourgeois Pig Cafe.

If you want to turn a fun night into a romantic one, check out one of Chicago’s many rooftop bars. One of the highest spots in town is at ROOF, which is located on the Wit Hotel. If you want a cheap drink, head to Studio Paris.

Firework Cruise

Create an unforgettable evening by taking a firework cruise. During the summer of fireworks, you can take a cruise on Lake Michigan or the Chicago River. The fireworks take place over the water with the city’s skyline in the background.

Any of these nights could lead to more, so to prepare, you should look at std testing in chicago. There are numerous places in the greater Chicago area where you can get tested. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so plan ahead.

You’re in one of the country’s best cities, so don’t go with a usual trip to the movies. Use any of these ideas and you’re sure to have a great night out on the town.
